National Anthem Day- Bulletin Board

Nicole and I were assigned to create a bulletin board with the idea of our "National Anthem". We decided to name " O Say Can You Sing". The purpose of it was to have the lyrics all messed up and have the children move them around to put them in the correct order. We have stars going around the border with the names of the students. Also, we added pictures of celebrities who have sung the National Anthem at the Super Bowl games! It was a lot of work, hope everyone liked the results!

I actually finished my "glog" on Friday but I kind of forgot to post it on here ... opps. Haha! I really enjoyed creating this but at times it was definitely hard! Hope you all enjoy!  My Glog!

Started working on my glog, however, it is definitely not finished. I still need to add more images and make it pretty :)It was a little frustrating in the beginning because I never used it before and I did not know where anything was or how to make something. Once I get the hang of it, it will be a lot more easier to use and work. My glog will be done for Tuesday !

Day 2 of computer lab

Today is the second day of being in the computer lab and I can't wait to see what "glogster" is all about. It is going to be interesting to find out how we can relate this to our future classrooms. Last class was alot of fun because we learned "wordle" and I can't wait to use that in my classrooom.

End of Day 1

I learned finally the features of "Wordle", I know how to change fonts, color, and even customize the colors. Dr. Luongo showed us how to save our wordles and publish them into our blogs. They are actually really interesting and I would definitely use them in my future lessons. For example, when reading a new story, I could ask the children what they think the story is going to be about. As they are telling me I could be typing the ideas into wordle and see what the common idea is after creating it. We didn't learn about what a "glog" is so it is still a mystery. However, we will be back here on Friday, so hopefully we learn :)

Computer lab adventures

Today we are in the computer lab of the basement library. It didn't start that well because as I was walking to my computer, I hit my "funny bone" on the wall and it hurt really badly.. Anyways, we are going to be learning more about "blogging", "wordle" and something called a "glog". I already know what wordle is, however, I really do not know the features of wordle though. I have no idea what a "glog" is and I can't even take a guess as to what it is. I think today our professor, Dr. Luongo, is going to explain how to use these programs and what the purpose of them are. And as always, she will show us how to use them in our future classrooms. :)
